MZ TO PRODUCE 12 EPISODES FEATURING ATLANTA FALCONS PLAYERS

MZ is excited to produce a show featuring Atlanta Falcons players doing some great things in their community.

Check out the Teaser on Line Backer Mike Peterson.

You’ll see these guys in a whole new light when you watch them on Sunday’s.

FYI YOU CAN DONATE TIME AND MONEY TO ANY OF THESE FOUNDATIONS.

Here is who we are spotlighting for Comcast:

EPISODE 1:  Dunta Robinson - Dunta Robinson Foundation (based in Athens, mostly centered around his youth football association)

EPISODE 2:  Mike Peterson - Mike Peterson Foundation (has own reading program, the Top Dog Reading program at Grove Park Elementary in Atlanta, offers different incentives for students, also typically does event during the holidays for underprivileged children that includes a shopping spree and more)

EPISODE 3:  Christopher Owens - Falcons Man of the Year last season.  Takes part in a different community event each week during the season.  Extremely passionate about giving back. Would like to follow him for Hometown Huddle (team/NFL event) and make his episode about him being Man of the Year and all the different charity work he does as well as highlight Hometown Huddle.  The entire 53 man roster is divided into 9 groups and each group make a surprise visit at a location in Atlanta.  We’d like to target Chris Owens to attend the Shepherd Center for Hometown Huddle (amazing place where patients are rehabbing from spinal injuries).

EPISODE 4:  Jason Snelling - Epilepsy Foundation Georgia Chapter (has epilepsy, attends several of their events.  Speaks often to adults and children who have been effected with the condition). Late morning at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite - They are planning for Jason to do some small activities with some children with epilepsy in their activities room.  He will be signing autographs and taking photographs as well.

EPISODE 5:  Curtis Lofton - Rally Foundation (a local childhood cancer research foundation, hosts a fashion show each Spring to benefit the foundation.  A frequent visitor to the children’s hospitals.) He will visit CHOA in his episode.

EPISODE 6: Ovie Mughelli - Ovie Mughelli Foundation (green initiatives, most active foundation on team). Going to Boys & Girls Club with Ovie.

EPISODE 7: Lawrence Sidbury - Grady High School After School Math Tutoring program (visits school each Monday afternoon during the season to help students with math for upcoming exams and statewide tests.)

Episode 8: Joe Zelenka - Ronald McDonald House (hosts a bowling event each spring for the house in Jacksonville.  Has hosted this event 6 years.) Would like to schedule a visit to the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta.  Chris will schedule and provide contact information to discuss any logistic needs from Comcast to set up interview location, etc.

Episode 9:  Tony Gonzalez - Tony Gonzalez Foundation (affiliated with the Shadow Buddies foundation which is based in Kansas City, distributes shadow buddies in children’s hospitals, tentative visit planned for Tuesday November 8) - Would like to cover the November 8th visit with Tony.

Episode 10: Michael Palmer & Stephen Nicholas - Palmer:  Local product from Parkview High School.  Always looking for different ways to give back.  Nicholas:  Loves to help underprivileged families and is constantly in the community lending a hand.  Treated several families last year to a holiday shopping spree.  Make A Wish Foundation Team Bowling Event - Tuesday November 8th - Falcons players will be bowling with children from the Make A Wish Foundation.  The players will be bowling “Wacky” bowling style where they have to bowl each frame with a different set of rules. Use Make a Wish as the storyline but focus on how these 2 guys are always giving back throughout the year.

Episode 11:  Will Svitek - Extremely passionate about doing stuff with military.  Spent a year overseas playing in NFL Europe and visits some of the European-American military bases.  Touched his life. Would like to schedule a visit to a local military base with Will.

EPISODE 12: Falcons Rookie Club - Feed the Children - Tuesday November 15, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - All of the Atlanta Falcons Rookies will be distributing food to local underprivileged military families at a local park in Dunwoody.  The Rookie Club concept is really a great one and could be an interesting story to tell as this is where we take all the Rookies out together as a group 8 times during the season to various community initiatives in efforts that they learn what they are passionate about and helps our CR staff schedule.
